About the project

The project was started in summer 2008 and a first official release is scheduled for January 2010.

Goals

  1. We try to provide an application which covers all your daily needs in information management. That means you can use the application out-of-the box to store typed information and synchronize them with the repositories we have integrated.
  2. Remus is licensed for a commercial extension or redistribution and provides framework functionalities to plug-in your business specific information structures or to integrate your own information repository. In addition it allows you to customize and extend the base application without modifying the applications core. For instance Remus is already used for the management of results of chemical experiences in an academic environment. Therefore we built plug-ins that cover the information-structures of experiment-results (which came in very handy) and got a complete application including search, browsing, offline availability and synchronization with a server.
